The Tarlant family are 12th-generation winemakers in the Marne who have distinguished themselves through early adoption of organic and biodynamic practices as well as specializing in chiseled and mineral-driven brut nature / zero dosage Champagne. Their Zero brut-nature uses about a third each of the classic Champagne varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, but also includes a small share of the more rarely used Petit Meslier, Arbanne, and Pinot Blanc. 40% of the total is reserve wine, granting depth, maturity, and the benefit of selecting only the best recent vintages. The result is a detailed, vigorous, aromatic and mineral-focused bubbly. Its an ideal pairing for purist seafood - raw oysters, sushi, seared sea scallops, but also worthy of contemplating on its own.
