Sanguineto Toscana Bianco 2022
We love a malvasia/trebbiano blend and this one from Tuscan legend Dora Forsoni is no exception! Starts with ethereal light flowers, honey, and melon aromas, followed by more melon along with subtle banana and marzipan, then the finish shows citrus tartness. Somehow a bit of saline minerality is interwoven throughout. While not super polished or perfectionist, the wine is generous, complex and intriguing. Pair with purist situations: a vigorous hike, sunshine and fresh air, mild charcuterie (prosciutto, jamon), white sushi, and don’t serve too cold!
Organic and biodynamic Malvasia Toscana, malvasia a bacca bianca, and trebbiano Toscano, with a little Biancame and Grechetto Bianco.
