Roberto Henriquez crafts this berry fruit and savory herb laden red from pais vines planted over 200 years ago in red granite hills hidden in the woods of Bio Bio, Chile. These ancient vines had been wildly growing up and over tree trunks, but Henriquez’ labor intensive pruning and hand-harvesting pays off in a red showing great structure and integration. Bright raspberry and cherry tones are rounded out with savory herb and pepper notes and soft cocoa-laced tannins.
