Radikon "Slatnik" 2022
The iconic Radikon family of the Italian-Slovenian borderlands have been farming the the land since the 1860's and making organic wines since the early 1990's. Their Slatnik bottling is crafted from chardonnay and tocai friulano fermented with two week on the skins and aged on the lees for a full year. The result is a stimulating and animated orange wine offering endless evolving complexity. Aromatic notes of cool savory herbs, warm baking spice, and baked apple mingle with caramel, briny minerality and ripe peach acidity. We recommend serving it only lightly chilled for its fullest expression. Ready to drink and will continue to evolve nicely in the cellar another five or ten years.
Practicing organic. 80% chardonnay, 20% tocai friulano. Unfined and unfiltered. Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Italy
