In an LBV port wine (late-bottle-vintage) a single vintage of port is aged a longer period in the barrel, so that it reaches the complexity and depth of an older port sooner. Quinta da Infantado’s LBV 2018 was rested in barrels, unfixed and unfiltered, until January of 2023. All that barrel time pays off in complex dried fruit, spice, and nut notes - comparable to a 20 or 30 year-aged port. We are fans of all of Quinta da Infantado’s bottlings, as each is sourced from Class A vineyards (comparable to French premier cru).
