The palate shows good full-bodied heft, and the cherry fruit is rounded out with a lick of blackberry, sophisticated spice elements, and some soft fine-toothed tannins. The result is a heavyweight cabernet that’s surprisingly light on its feet. This can certainly stand up to a ribeye or porterhouse, but can be equally enjoyable contemplated on its own.
