Mustilli Falanghina del Sannio 2021

$24.00

Sisters Paola and Anna Mustilli have some pretty big shoes to fill, having taken on the mantle of their family’s five century old history of winemaking! Falanghina is a varietal the Mustilli family has a particular affinity for, having single-handedly saved the grape from extinction, putting it on the map by starting to bottle it as a single varietal wine back in 1979. Their take on falagnhina remains classic, with lemon blossom and honeysuckle aromas and a fresh palate of bright pear and a snappy flinty mineral finish. We love this one as a party-starting aperitif or with seafood. This one’s sure to please lovers of a classic Sancerre or a crisp pinot grigio.

Practicing organic. Average 30+ year-old vine age. 10 months aging on the lees in stainless steel. Lightly fined, unfiltered. Sant’Agata dei Goti, Sannio, Campania, Italy.
