Luigi Giordano Langhe Nebbiolo 2022
Full-bodied, yet light-on-its-feet nebbiolo. You can think of this as a baby Barbaresco, showcasing much of the silky finesse of its bigger, much higher-priced brother. Violet, rose, and berry aromatics lead to palate of streamlined and silky berry fruit, with only the most polished tannins detectable. Beautifully balanced, it shows full-body without any alcohol heat, and shows pure berry fruit without leaning too acidic. This bottle is drinking beautifully now and it can be tough to find Nebbiolo that truly shines in its youth. But if you care to cellar some, your patience will be rewarded, as this will develop nicely over the next decade or so.
Organic. 100% nebbiolo. Barbaresco (de-classified), Langhe, Piedmont, Italy.
