Les Vins Pirouettes "Eros de Vincent" 2022

$28.00

Eros de Vincent is a delightful showcase of classic Alsace varietals vinified with skin-contact by Vincent Gross. The color is an intriguing deep orange/amber with a rosy pink inflection. The bouquet shows vivid dry rose petal, cherry blossom, orange zest, and oyster shell. On the palate Eros intrigues with ginger snaps, wild strawberry, raspberry, and woodsy pu-erh tea, finishing with nectarine, peach, salty minerality, and a touch of crystalline tannin. Eros de Vincent is friendly and accessible enough for orange wine novices, but shows more than enough depth and nuance for experienced and adventurous palates!

Certified organic. Unfined, unfiltered, zero added sulfur. 35% gewurztraminer, 25% pinot gris , 20% auxerois, 10% riesling 10%, 10% sylvaner. 14 days skin-contact. Gueberschwihr, Alsace, France.

Les Vins Pirouettes is an ever-growing cooperative of organic and biodynamic winemakers in Alsace guided by local legend Christian Binner. While he offers wisdom, experience, and guidance, it is definitively a collective of like-minded farmers, rather than a corporate negociant wine project. Binner states: “Each cuvée is vinified at the winemaker’s own place, by their own team, respecting their history and character.”
