Le Prieure "Cuvée de la Milliere" Cotes du Rhone 2020
From Domaine Prieuré des Papes (formerly known as Domaine Milliere) comes this exceptionally elegant Cotes du Rhone. This gorgeous red starts off with airy and ethereal aromas of blueberry, lavender, eucalyptus, and a subtle hint of pistachio. The palate follows suit, delivering lifted blackberry and blueberry notes and a savory note of roasted fennel, all along a slick and quaffable texture. The finish is a touch more assertive with dried cherry, baking spice, and a light touch of pepper, a combination that will serve well with a wide range of pairings. It’s hard to find this level of polish and craft, and especially at this price point, this Cotes du Rhone can be considered a rare gem.
Practicing organic. Blend of grenache, syrah, mourvedre, cinsault and counoise. Rhone Valley, France.
