Frontenac Noir from Deirdre Heekin’s biodynamic farm in the Champlain Valley.. After being hand-harvested from clay and granitic soils, half the grapes half are pressed fresh and half are aged, ripasso style, for concentration of flavor. Then the juice is blended together and aged in old French oak, resulting in a deep notes of dried plum, fig, cranberry and black currant.
