Kistler "Les Noisetiers" Chardonnay 2023
We’ve had the good fortune to taste a good handful of vintages of Les Noistetiers, and are especially excited to offer the 2023. By all accounts the year was excellent for Russian River Valley, supporting the Burgundian influences of leading houses such as Kistler with a long and cool growing season. The cooler year brought about marked floral inflections, a detailed mineral clarity, as well as fresh and racy citrusy acidity to the consistent full-bodied texture and subtle nutty accents for which the bottling is named.
100% chardonnay. Hand-harvested at night. 11 months in oak, 35% new, all barrels sourced in St. Romain, Burgundy. Unfined and unfiltered. Vine Hill, Trenton Roadhouse, Dutton Ranch and Laguna Ridge vineyards, Russian River Valley, California, USA.
