J.M. Seleque "Solessence" Extra Brut Champagne NV
Jean-Marc Sélèque’s Solessence Extra Brut balances a fresh and approachable citrusy refreshment with the layered depths granted by the inclusion of 50% reserve wines from a multi-vintage solera. White flowers, brioche, and almond notes form an inviting bouquet, leading to a gorgeously textured palate of harmonious peach, green apple, and lime notes underlined with a firm chalky minerality. There is a perfectly balanced confluence of caramelized elements from the older reserve wines and fresh sparky citrus keeping things both deep and light, both serious and playful!
50% chardonnay, 40% pinot meunier, 10% pinot noir. Fermentation in 70% stainless steel vats, 30% in oak barrels. 40-plus year-old vines. Unfiltered and unfined. Dosage: 2g/L. Grown in the villages of Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Boursault, Vertus in Coteaux Sud d’Épernay, Champagne, France.
