2021 brought a late frost to the Pinon family’s vineyards destroying 95% of the year’s harvest. The remaining 5%, however, produced a dry chenin blanc of exceptional grace and concentration. “Sauvé du gel” translates to “saved from the ice”. From tragedy comes triumph!
The wine shows a luxurious density, packed with harmonious flower, peach, melon, and citrus notes, all anchored and balanced by a mineral-laced racy acidity.
