Feuillat-Juillot Montagny 1er Cru "Les Coeres" 2022
Silken and gentle chardonnay balancing fine-tuned oak influence with ripe fruit and supple texture. Subtle baking spice, a bit of tropical tang to the fruit, and a lick of vanilla will appeal to fans of California chardonnay, while the structure, proportion, and classic citrus and mineral notes will satisfy the Burgundy lovers. Overall, a soft and finesseful bottling that winemaker Francoise Feuillat-Juillot likes to call a more feminine side to Burgundy. This is drinking very well now, but will continue to develop nicely well through 2030. Its a classic pairing with lobster or a buttery white fish, and also has the fruit and the texture to handle more assertively seasoned seafood dishes: we can’t wait to try it with a shrimp kurma curry.
