Chimeres "Les Passantes"

$32.00

Les Passantes, is a red blend of the rarely spotted counoise and ribeyrenc varietals, made with no added sulfites by Mas de Chimeres’ Guilhem Dardé. Dardé has been organically farming grapes on the otherworldly red sands of Salagou since the early 1990’s and Les Passantes is his latest cuvée to hit the market. Typical to counoise, expect a pale cloudy violet-red color, clean floral and berry aromatics, with deep berry fruit and hints of baking spice on a nicely slick and viscous palate. This one is for the fans of thirst-quenching easy-going reds like trousseau, poulsard, or cinsault, as its light , fresh, and satisfying, leaning neither too rich nor too acidic. Excellent as a stand-alone social wine and will also play nicely with any number of snacky tapas, charcuterie, or savory mains.

Certified organic. Blend of counoise and ribeyrenc. No sulfites added. Octon, Salagou, Pays D’Herault, Languedoc, France.
